Overdrive’s most affordable half rack, the Mach 1 half rack offers a great home garage or apartment gym solution and is designed to let you squat, bench press and perform pull ups on a budget without compromising on quality. The Mach 1 Half Rack is built using robust 60x60mm 2mm steel tubing and designed to take up less space in your workout area covering a small footprint of 120cm (w) x121cm (d). Great features include triple padded J-hooks, westside spacing and laser cut numbered holes and the option to add weight horns and spotter arms. Available in 3 awesome colours, the Mach rack gives you endless options to build and upgrade the rack the way you want. You can spend more on beefier squat rack but at this price point, this squat rack can’t be beat.

Firstly, I would like to express my gratitude to the Overdrive team for their exceptional customer service. Steve answered all of my queries and ensured that the goods were delivered as requested. Regarding the Mach 1 half rack, I believe it offers the best value for money compared to other racks on the market. It is incredibly sturdy, solid, and the J-cups are heavy and do not rattle. I love its premium quality and feel. While you might find something for the same price on Amazon or eBay, it would not be of the same quality. I searched everywhere, so I suggest that you save yourself some time and money by choosing the Mach 1 half rack.

This rack is exactly what I was looking for! Don't be fooled by the term 2mm thickness on the steel, it is very sturdy and strong. Well-engineered and easy to assemble. For squatting, overhead press or anything that you only need the rack to start and finish the movement it will be overkill, to be honest. I choose for the price, quality, shipping and a low pull-up bar, so it could fit anywhere in the garage, apartment or whenever I move in future and you can pass your head over the bar or move the rack outside if you want to do a muscle up. To do pull-ups or chin-ups having the weight added will give the feeling of being bolted to the ground, without the weights you can do it but it has that slight movement that you can feel. Not for CrossFit chest to the bar for being too short (your foot will touch the ground and it will be moving. For strict pull-up or chin-up or anything in slow movement the rack doesn't move at all. I got the arm spotters and the weight horn, which is very easy to assemble and strong. The shipping is crazy fast, I order on Tuesday and got it on Thursday (half package) and the rest on Monday (I live in Hervey Bay, regional area, so that's fast to us). The only additional comment I would recommend is a better assembling guide, like "put this on the 10th hole, that on the 3rd hole", you have to count it on the figure and some people may get the counting wrong, which could affect the balance of the rack. I really recommend this rack!

Good product overall. Pretty easy to assemble on your own, strong enough and does not shake while doing hanging exercises like pull ups. Leaves enough room for other options to add to the rack for the future or can just be used on its own to do calisthenic exercises like pull ups or inverted rows. High enough to do hanging exercises with straight legs if you're around 5 foot 10, make sure to have enough room and a high ceiling if you want to use this at home.
